Day 42

Posted: July 13, 2012 in Bike Ride Across America 2012

Bicycling today involved a nice route from Muskegon to Middleville, MI. Once again I was fortunate to ride a significant distance on paved bike trail. Pictured is a canopied section of the Musketawa Trail.  I also encountered my first rain since Montana.

CHECK THIS OUT!  AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU…

Campus ministry leaders around the country realize how increasingly difficult it is to share our faith with younger generations. Having little interest in the life of the church, many young people wish to see spirituality beyond church walls, lived out in everyday life. Lutheran Campus Mission Association is prepared to help you live out your own faith in a tangible way that not only will change your own understanding for the better, but also will help you proclaim an authentic message for younger generations. This endeavor is called the “S’s of Spirituality”, and Lutheran Campus Mission Association would like to share these concepts with you in a three-part webinar series, which will be presented on Thursday evenings, August 9, 16, and 23. (Each evening session will be under an hour.)  Sessions will start at 7:30 Central Time. However, the sessions will be recorded and a link to those recordings will also be available.

This workshop series will be a great way for you to experience our faith in a renewed way that is relevant to postmodern life while still being true to our theology. It will also serve as an introduction to how Lutheran Campus Mission Association can train you and others in your community in connecting with younger generations in a profoundly spiritual way. If you are interested, please send an email to Jon at jonjensen@lcmscampusministry.org.
