Day 32

Posted: July 3, 2012 in Bike Ride Across America 2012

Today was the beginning of a “homecoming” for me.  At mid-morning we entered my home state of Wisconsin.  While Jen and the kids did some sightseeing, I pedaled my way down to Pepin, WI, where we are camped for the night.Image

Near Osceola I was greeted by a black bear, which popped out of the woods and onto the road about one hundred feet in front of me.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my camera turned on quick enough for a picture.  A while later I encountered this welcoming county sign.

As we continue through Wisconsin some of my family members will be riding segments with me on their bikes.  This coming Sunday I will be preaching at my home congregation, St. Luke Lutheran Church in Lyndon Station, WI and sharing about the ministry that this ride supports.  Remember, you can be involved in supporting Lutheran Campus Mission Association too!
