Day 16

Posted: June 17, 2012 in Bike Ride Across America 2012

I felt a great sense of accomplishment today, riding from West Glacier to Browning, MT and crossing the Continental Divide along the way.

When I got to the top of Marias Pass I caught up with two cyclists I met back in Washington toward the start of my trip.  Jason and Daniel are headed to Bar Harbor, Maine.  It was fun to compare notes about our experiences up to this point.

Besides riding in close proximity to a lot of Glacier National Park traffic today, I was also able to get fairly close to some mountain goats.  Temperatures ranged from the upper 60’s to mid 40’s. Within only a few hours I encountered sunshine, rain, hail and 43 mph winds – which, fortunately, were at my back.
