Day 7

A great day of cycling!  I rode 76 mostly rain-free miles today, making it to Oldtown, Idaho.  What a great feeling! In my first week of riding I climbed five mountain passes and crossed the state of Washington.  Along the way I’ve also met some fascinating people, including a number of other cyclists who are riding across America.  Today I rode most of my miles with Andy, a Triple Crown hiker who is headed to Maine.  Tomorrow I’m looking forward to a short ride into Sandpoint, ID where I’ll have lunch at Joe’s Philly Cheesesteak and our family will enjoy the hospitality of my uncle & aunt, John and Pam Lueck.
